Neutron NS is a compact smart weighing platform that combines professional weighing electronics, industrial communication, digital I/O and secure cloud connectivity in one device.
Connect analog load cells directly or use Neutron NS to upgrade an existing weighing system. Integrate weight data with Scale Monitor, PLC, SCADA, ERP, MES, WMS, cloud platforms or your own software. No traditional weighing indicator is required.

Designed for weighing applications without a local display
Many modern processes already display, process or control weight through a PLC, SCADA, HMI, industrial PC, smartphone, tablet, browser, ERP/MES/WMS application, cloud dashboard or custom software interface. Neutron NS performs the weighing functions locally while exchanging values, commands and configuration with these systems.

Scale Monitor: a flexible weighing interface without programming
With Neutron NS and Scale Monitor, a phone, tablet or computer becomes a configurable weighing terminal. Create custom virtual indicators, screens, databases, input fields, workflows, labels, tickets and reports without being restricted by the fixed screen and functions of a traditional indicator.

Neutron NS can also operate locally with a PLC, SCADA system or custom application while simultaneously exchanging information with Scale Monitor or another cloud service.

Parallel connections: a PLC can read live weight through Modbus TCP while Neutron NS simultaneously sends weighing data to Scale Monitor or an MQTT platform. Several applications can therefore use the device at the same time.

What is Neutron NS and who is it designed for?
Neutron NS is a compact smart weighing core without a local display. It is designed for scale manufacturers, OEM developers, system integrators, automation engineers, IT teams and advanced DIY projects that need direct load-cell measurement, local process control and secure data connectivity in one device.

Can Neutron NS connect directly to analog load cells?
Yes. Neutron NS includes a four-channel 24-bit sigma-delta ADC for direct analog load-cell measurement. Each weighing channel can be configured independently for a single platform or a multi-channel weighing system.

Is a traditional weighing indicator required?
No. Neutron NS performs weighing functions locally. Weight can be displayed, processed or controlled through Scale Monitor, a PLC or SCADA system, an HMI, industrial PC, web browser, tablet, smartphone or custom application.

Can Neutron NS use PLC and cloud communication simultaneously?
Yes. Multiple applications and protocols can operate in parallel. For example, a PLC can read live weight through Modbus TCP while Neutron NS simultaneously sends weighing data to Scale Monitor or another cloud platform through MQTT.

How is the first Wi-Fi connection configured?
Use Bluetooth Low Energy with the web tool at apps.scale-monitor.com or the CSTools application for Windows, Android or iOS. From there you can configure Wi-Fi and other communication settings.

How is a scale calibrated with Neutron NS?
Calibration can be performed through Scale Monitor Cloud or with CSTools. CSTools also supports saving, restoring, exporting and importing the complete device configuration, which simplifies commissioning, replacement and remote support.

Ethernet is included in variants whose product number ends in E: CS-NS-WBE, CS-NSHV-WBE and CS-NSHH-WBE. All Neutron NS variants listed here include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy.

How many weighing channels and I/O points are available?
Neutron NS supports up to four independently configurable weighing channels. It also includes six opto-isolated digital inputs and six digital outputs for commands, sensors, dosing, tolerance control, valves, conveyors, alarms and other automation functions.
